Service Specialist (automation)
Being a Service Specialist at Royal IHC means you are the troubleshooter that analyses problems, creates solutions and services our clients.
As a Service Specialist for our Dredging equipment you will assist IHC Services with problems that arise while our equipment is in use by our clients. You are responsible for carrying our second-line service support within our engineering department.
You will analyze service calls, propose creative solutions, build test environments and install & test new (revised) software.
During the entire process you will be point of contact for our service department and/or our customers.
You will give support on PLC controls, field sensors, SCADA operations and PC networks and work from our office in Sliedrecht occasionally you will perform your tasks on board of dredging vessels.
As a Software Service Specialist, you will work in a new team to be set up team varying between 4 till 6 persons.
To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
- You have a Higher vocational education and at least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Marine industry.
- You have extensive technical knowledge on PLC & SCADA systems
- You have excellent communications skills in Dutch and English

As a Service Support Engineer Dredging Automation, you will work at IHC Systems.
